Overwhelmed and devastated by the power that Christian Gray (Jamie Dornan) wields over her, Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) has ended her relationship with him and tries to regain control of her life by starting work at the Seattle Independent Publishing company. There she will meet Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson), her boss, who will gradually become infatuated with her and will try to seduce her at all costs, much to Christian’s chagrin.
As she battles her demons from the past, the business mogul is unable to stop thinking about Anastasia, whom she tries to convince to become part of her life again. She, for her part, is reluctant to his proposal and before accepting she demands a new agreement, with other rules. However, when the relationship begins to work, figures from Christian’s past will emerge that threaten their future together.
Fifty Shades Darker is the second film in the film adaptation of the literary saga based on the character of Christian Gray. Although it did not reach the more than 500 million dollars of collection of the first installment, this sequel was again a box office success, this time with James Foley at the helm, who replaced Sam Taylor-Johnson in the direction and would also be in charge to shoot the closing of the trilogy.
Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan returned to lead a cast that was reinforced with the presence of Bella Heathcote and fellow model Kim Basinger. In addition, as happened in all three films, Sia once again gave voice to one of the main themes, this time under the title of Salted Wound.
